MATERIALS

Nodular and gray cast iron

In Funosa we manufacture parts for all types of sectors in high quality nodular and gray iron. These materials offer strength, reliability and versatility, key aspects for demanding industries.

Nodular iron is characterized by its excellent mechanical strength and ductility. It is ideal for components that support dynamic loads, such as automotive, railway and construction machinery parts.

Nodular iron is also called ductile cast iron, spheroidal graphite cast iron or nodular cast iron.

Gray iron, versatility and economy

Gray iron offers high vibration damping capacity and excellent machinability, which makes it the ideal choice for different key sectors such as civil engineering, valves, or elevators.

Gray iron parts are also used in combustion engines and clutch plates due to their high heat dissipation capacity (DEUTZ – RAICAM).
